The Nightmare Before Christmas

I told you that another Tim Burton work would pop up!

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a tale of a young skeleton named Jack Skellington who was the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. Somehow, he fell through the doorway into a land of Christmas, something he had never experienced or heard of before. He was so excited, that he planned to bring Christmas to his home, only the denizens of Halloween Town did not understand the joy that came with Christmas, believing that everything should still exist to scare. Jack finally realizes that he was not created in order to celebrate Christmas, and instead goes back to his old occupation of scaring and being the most fearsome creature to exist. He also falls in love with a rag doll named Sally...no big deal.

Anyways, as I have said before, Tim Burton is a genius and I can't stress that enough. Aside from the fact that the whole thing was stop motion, the concept of the movie itself was so eccentric yet brilliant. It was dark yet funny and while it is a children's movie, it does have the potential to be a little morbid and scary. That is why I love it. Thank you Tim Burton for being the most creative genius around.

The details of each character are so vivid and breathtaking. He really manages to capture the essence of Halloween and Christmas all in one story.
